Need an ID for a Weber Carb

Having just bought a standard '87 German built 1.6 Laser, I am keen to add a K&N filter. My problem is this; i don't actually know what carb i have fitted!..I've scanned through the Capri Haynes manual and none of the carbs featured seem to match. The only distinguishing marks that the carb has is the indentation 'WEBER TIPO 34 ICH'...Now obviously i know that this is a weber carb, but is it a variant of the VV carb found in later Capris,or an aftermarket carb fitted by a previous owner?..I need to know EXACTLY what this carb is, so as to avoid any problems fitting the K&N filter. Your help and knowledge would be greatly appreciated!!

The carb that you've got is a 34ICH as it says. These were/are available as a standard replacement for the VV, and should have a bolt-on top piece to allow the standard VV air filter to bolt on. So you may have two options - fit a filter for a 34ICH or one for a VV.
