Oil loss crisis
I just checked my oil today, and to my suprise found it was nearly a quarter down, after having a full oil and filter change about 2 weeks ago. I then noticed that their was some oil and grime all over one of my spark plug entry holes in the engine...Has my gasket gone?...or is it a case that the spark plug need tightening more to the correct torque?...The remaining 3 other sparks are fine and clean...

A common fault on pinto engines is the incorrect fitting of the cam cover gasket,having had the sme problem myself many times over the years I often put a little "instant gasket" onto the new gasket.
This usually does the trick,also you must tighten the cam cover bolts on in the correct order.
If you are still losing oil,go through the normal checks i.e smoking excessivly on start up and running,oil uder the car after overnight stand ect.
