the engine keeps cutting out

my capri 2.0 laser is fitted with a sparkrite 1200 electronic ignition. every so often when it has warmed up my car will cut out(not when its cold), the engine would die and the rev counter would also stop working (the battery light doesn't come on). if I am still moving I can flick the key off and on and some times it would restart. I have replaced the coil leads plugs rotor arm, and distributor cap but it keeps on doing it, and today after switching off when warm it would not start yet when cold starts first time. any ideas to what it can be?

Sounds like a fault on your ignition circuit on the low tension side, as if the ignition is been turned off. Hope this works.

GET THE UNIT CHECKED AT A CRIPTON CENTRE . IT MIGHT BE OVERHEATING AND CUTING OUT AND WORKING WHEN IT COOLS
