I'm looking into buying some 17" or 18" garden rollers in the near future and I know that for rear drive cars you need a certain offset to get the handling right. What is the right amount for the capri and can this be made up by spacers instead of specially offset wheels and split rims?
Thanks
Rob
P.S. I know they fit as I've seen a 1.6 with no arch mods with 17's easily fitting he said something about a peaugeot(french!!) offset???
Offset
17s are straightforward
I've got some Ford 7.5x17s on my car. These come with a 38mm offset and I've used 25mm spacers from Rally Design (01795 531871)(part number RD4253, £13.28 per pair including 8 longer studs plus VAT plus packaging) which brings them about right both front and back with 205/40/17 tyres.
