I didn’t know places could sell 4 star leaded fuel but this dealership is advertising it?
The post is from a year ago but assuming it’s still doing it!
Edit: Just messaged the dealership and they are still selling leaded fuel, if anyone lives in reasonable distance and fancies using the proper stuff.

Re: Leaded fuel
I know that our Tom Beevers stumbled upon a filling station recently that was selling 4-Star Leaded so he filled up.!! In fact the owner of the place even posted up a photo of Toms Capri on Twitter filling up at his pump. Cant remember if its the same place as on the video but very hard to find it for sale. Tom said it was not cheap though !

I have used that Tesco Momentum 99 stuff in the past and my car did run better on the stuff- but that was a while ago and back then it was priced half decent, fuck knows how much it costs now though ........

Re: Leaded fuel
It's sold in such small quantities that it's allowed to be sold by garages that hold a specific license.HampshireCapri wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 9:21 am I didn’t know places could sell 4 star leaded fuel but this dealership is advertising it?
The FBHVC used to have a list of sites that sold 4 star, but they no longer do that. It states on their website that E5 "protection grade" fuel plus additives offers the same amount of protection for older vehicles.

Re: Leaded fuel
Years ago there was a company which would sell you TEL to add to your petrol yourself: rather a lot of H&S info IIRC. This seems to have disappeared now, the only manufacturer in the world is apparently this company and they will only supply refiners. I thought some planes still needed to use leaded?

Check out tetraboost.com. Looks like still available, and now also has ethanol treatment too.

Just checked and avgas here still contains lead .....so you wouldnt want to put it anything with a catalytic converter.stevemarl wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 9:08 am Years ago there was a company which would sell you TEL to add to your petrol yourself: rather a lot of H&S info IIRC. Down here we can get 100+ ( thats the name ) petrol ,which is 100 octane ,still unleaded , but its the ducks nuts for older hi compression car engines

Re: Leaded fuel
Yes, Platts of Marlow is where I went. It's a bit out of the way, but it's actually quite a nice drive. Popped in a few times now. The cost is extortionate but I go there once every year so I can live with it.
