Episode one, scene one, a nice yellow Mark 1 Capri.
Get your trousers on, you're nicked.

Id rather have a bottle in front of me

Thanks for all the replies. This series is absolutely cram packed with classic one liners. Can't believe how un-pc it is too, and that's coming from someone who still lives in the 70s. It's far more entertaining than I remember it to be, and very blokey, loads of smoking, beer, violence, swearing, sexist, nudity and superb car scenes and chases. Can't believe it's still shown on TV here, the episodes must be cut and/or some not shown, similar to The Professionals, cut scenes on TV with an episode (Klansmen) which will never be shown on UK TV.
The Sweeney - it's great, now SHUT IT!

Paul,
I`m amazed that they get away with some of Gene Hunt`s, erm, terminology in Life on Mars: fudge packers; shirt lifters? Brilliant !

I love Life on Mars and the later Ashes to Ashes

amazed it still on T/V, even some episodes of Porridge you get a warning of outdated language

Capri's seem to feature more and more in this series. They mention them by name too, 'they got away in a Capri' sort of thing, love hearing the name check on TV, Ford struck gold calling the car that, there is just something about it.
The dark green car in the pics is actually Regan's (the main character) own vehicle.
