Capri spotted on tv

Post by Fordoholic Nick »

So, was watching Unforgotten last night with Mrs F and they were looking at photos of the victim back in 1990 and low and behold... :)

Yes I pointed that one out to the other half :D

There was one in the prog It's a Sin the other day. Not been watching it but the wife had freeze framed it as grey 2.8 drove through shot, couldn't make out the reg though.

Peter, Siobhan is getting more understanding when I stop the TV and grab my phone to take a picture. I only pause it for three reasons

1. Put the kettle on
2. Toilet break
3. IT'S A CAPRI.!!!

I've spotted some lovely old Ford's today!
A MK1 escort, two MK1 capris and what appears to be an Anglia estate??

10points to whoever can guess what it was I spotted them in....

Well the pictures aren't great Nick but to me look a little like Eric Idle and Michael Palin so I'm going with a Monty Python sketch.

10points to Peter!
Monty Pythons Flying Circus - I saw it was added to Netflix so took the time to binge it while the better half was out yesterday

Apologies the picture quality isn't great - in my defence it was filmed in 1974 so not all my fault!

That was my first thought - even the kids nearby look like the `Please Sir` ones. Then again, it was the `70s, we ALL looked like that :D
Surprised no-one spotted this car chase on `Ashes to Ashes.`

I recognised his face but couldn't remember Eric Idles name, but I thought it looked very Monty Python.

Loved by many I could never get into it.

That makes three of us as regards to Please Sir, it was only because I know that film quite well and that I didn't recognise the scenes which stopped me saying it.

Well, nearly TV, YouTube on my telly. Goodwood road and race channel have just (well, last week) posted the 78th member meeting historic races, Jake Hill in a 3 litre Capri drifting it round goodwood being chased by a 302 boss mustang in 1 race and a Camero in the other. Absolute nip and tuck, big American V8s pulling away on the straights, nimble Capri dancing around them in the twisties. Marvellous stuff. And the 3 litre sounds epic on the onboard. If anyone is interested in such things that is.
