..just ordering some panels and other bits for my OnOff's MK1. God the bits are cheap, like Capris 10 - 15 years ago!
I overtook a modified MK2 MX5 at speed around my favourite corner the other day. We pull up at a set of lights a mile down the road, he looks over, looks the Capri up and down, big smile and goes "that's the best handling one of those I've ever seen."
Worthy praise I thought
MX5s..

Re: MX5s..
My brother has a Mk1, great little motor and the parts are dirt cheap! You can get a whole stainless exhaust for £250 odd quid off the shelf for them and everything so far seems readily available which makes me immensely jealous and also annoyed whenever I'm ordering parts for us haha
To be fair Tom your car is a well oiled (oily, same thing?) machine and is stripped for racing! It also goes like stink and looks like it handles a treat - following you around when I came up I could feel mine wallowing in the corners bouncing around like a boat on choppy seas but yours looked like it just sticks!

A wise man once said... "you can never have too many capris - buy another"
It's me, I'm the wise man.
It's me, I'm the wise man.

Thanks! Yes it handles very well, so well in fact, that I have decided against fitting the front Escort forest arches and spacers in case that slight alteration to the geometry has a detrimental effect!
