One of those days

Post by Major_Tom » Wed Oct 07, 2020 3:46 pm

..woke up nice and early, went to collect new alternator and huge battery, massive, bigger than the car. Fitted old battery, but it was so knackered it couldnt even move the second hand on the clock! So fitted a battery from my dad's Yaris, which meant driving said Yaris to the other side of town to get battery terminal adapters. Fitted it, would hardly turn over. Changed starter motor... wouldn't fire!

So I ate lunch, drank an ale and fell asleep instead. I know when the universe is telling me "no".

Will sort it tomorrow

All the makings of a great day, shame you wasted half of it fixing the car
you gotta make the most  :cigar: :burnout: out of your 20's, 30's, and 40's coz when you hit 50 the "engine check" light comes on. :?
