Spot the difference...

Post by Fordoholic Nick »

Just a bit of fun but can any of you eagle eyed guys spot the difference. You need to look closely and a clue is what I did was really "bugging" me

And for a bonus point can anyone spot the new addition to an already new addition

Spot on Mr Tool   Well done Hamish.!! Very observant of you sir :applaud:

Bug, I did take notice of what you said and you are dead right it looks so much better now !!

Yep still not sure if these lifting rings are supposed to be fitted or not as standard as seen many that don't and some that do. Jason has a very original Pinto and he does not have them fitted to his. Be interesting to hear from others Always presumed it was supposed to be fitted but it does look sleeker without and only takes mins to fit them if the engine needs to come out :) :)

Re oil filler cap I originally bought two at the time. The bigger burton power one and this lower profile one which I now prefer as does not make so much of a statement as the burton one

Logically they must be standard otherwise none would have them. They would be the 1st thing some fussy perfectionist would get tickover to remove for him :xd:
Seriously tho they must of all had them at new , how else would you lower the engine into the engine bay during initial assembly ......way back then......with no robots, and the 1st time the exhaust manifold was disturbed....off it goes, flung into yore for Baldrick's great grandson and his boring mates to dig up next century.

.......

Hamish, Gus at Tickover left it on last time he had the pinto out, but recently its been bugging me as all of a sudden it became alot more 'noticeable" with the work I had done and Bug even noticed it too  so couple of days ago I whipped it off and its so much better

But yep I agree Hamish they must be fitted as standard and then fussy OCD sods prefer to remove them

Gotta admit it does stick out a bit in your car with it being so well presented. Im not a great stickler for keeping things standard for the sake of it but I bet if you took B112 to a posh car show ( like Pebble Beach ) there would be a point off ( probly the only point off on your car ) for not having it fitted , but it would only take 5 minutes to refit.
Which leaves me with the burning question , what are you going to do next ? :)

Andrew.
Yeah I been watching reality tv/documentaries like Mrs Brown and Coronation street ( Im sure I saw Nick )The Chawners, Bottom :xd:
Seriously tho British comedy is the best and your cops and robbers programs entertain by making you think whereas the yanks entertain by crashing cars , shooting/ blowing the place up and bimbo's with their hooters hanging out and spray on pants doin the whole charlies angels thing. Im just about to watch a double episode of Cracker........... :)
