So, enough of this lethargy. This evening after a bit of faffing around the 2.0 is off the ground and I will at last deal with the exhaust change that I have been contemplating for several weeks. Unless it rains! I even pulled the weeds up after the picture :)

I think the whole car has been photoshopped to look like it's on jacks - time will tell if/when Peter changes the exhaust this weekend

Nice work Titchmarch  There's jobs I need to be doing too but I'd rather be driving it, hoping some of your enthusiasm will rub off.

Of course its really hard to find those bushy green leaved Ford weeds now. It's all invasive knotweeds and Himalayan balsa these days

Thought I'd blown it with the weather as by the time I got back from getting an MOT on the other one this morning there was light rain in the air but it held off and just started to tip it down a short while ago as I tightened the final exhaust clamp. So, at last, a job done :D

:agree:
And at least you have some partial cover and leg room there. Most garages are cramped with no room to move, and outside is always a risk weather wise when tackling any repairs

Brilliant work Peter :applaud: :applaud: .

Great you got the exhaust done fella. Great sense of satisfaction mate. I got Tickover to use those mikalor round clamps this time rather than the u bolts so must get B112 up on axle stands next few days and have a look at them lol:

What exhaust did you go for Peter. Was it a standard set up or Sportex mate ? Once again great work Peter :)

It sounds as though you've been busy with some worthwhile jobs, Peter.

So.....when do we get to see a photo of the weed-free parking area?

Andrew.

I heard of these from Paul (pbar) who mentioned them a while back and I always thought I will use them next time I replace the exhaust. Thanks Paul !! :)

Cheers Nick :) They really make a good all round seal, no need for any paste or sealant.

Yes I can't complain with space. Apart from the area in the picture there is a similar size space with the other Capri in and, if necessary, I'm lucky enough (not exactly 'luck' as I built it) to have a decent garage that I can use if the weather is really bad and something has to be done.

Cheers Nick. Yes a 2" Sportex system a that replaced an existing 2" system that I put on years ago. I've only got the 'tame' 2" tail pipe though. I gather some people have more inches than me

That's better! However, I suspect that the Capri must have distracted you as it looks as though one weed has slipped through the net.... :D
