E Scooter Rental

Post by andyd »

On the roads from Saturday with no insurance required  https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/1063 ... blic-roads

Great idea!! Get on one pi**ed, stoned, jump red lights, ignore zebra crossings, clatter down the side of cars taking out the door mirror, then off you go with no way of being traced

I like the 'Advised to wear helmets and stay of pavements', so that's covered that then

Makes no sense that you can hire one and drive one, but you can't own one privately and do the exact same thing...?? Love a well thought through government policy.... :sarcasmalert:

If I got on one of those scooters it would bend in half. Bloody things, they're for kids.

The only downside to these is the very low centre of gravity which means you must hold the `handlebar` making it impossible to text, keep hands in pockets etc, whereas on a bike:

Scary Steve

Drivers are bad enough! Twice in 3 days at the same roundabout a driver has pulled out without looking right :swear: Good job I wasn't in the Capri stopping might not have been so easy

Andy,
I agree, everyone on the road seems to have lost the `fear`, respect or whatever, it`s just ALL gone downhill.

Yes everyone acts like theyre entitled, rather than having a mutual respect for each other. They get mad when they're in the wrong, rather than raising the Hand of Humility to their own mistakes. Somebody shouted something incoherent to me the other day because they had to swerve out of the way. The guy was in the middle of the road. Total lack of personal ownership of responsibility.

Was waiting at a box junction on my bus last week and don't know how but as the traffic ahead moved off as did I, a young lady somehow managed to force her way down the INSIDE of my bus and slam her fight foot down to accelerate before I took her car to pieces as she tried to avoid driving up the pavement, and she stuck her arm out the window and gave me the finger... Bleedin priceless

And this is only one example of many every single day
