There is good news about SUV'S

Post by ESSEXV6ESSEX »

I never thought I would say it but I can see scope for rejoicing in SUV's. It might kill off the VW Golf!!!!

Apart from the MK1and MK2 GTI most of them over the last 35 years are shite and well overrated. Even compared to other cars in the same class, away from the GTi they are over priced and over hyped, even most Mark GTi's are comparably shite.. Always have been. Always seen ad reliable yer industry figures prove they aren't, even the Escort best it in reliability tests most of its life.

Complete misnomer.

I thought the 'good news about SUV's' was that they are about to be banned! Horrid things.

I had a MK4 Golf as a daily for around 16 years and over 100,000 miles, was a great car to be honest.

My dad had a Mk4 diesel TDi Golf for about 6/7 years and he put 160k+ miles on it and was great to be fair until the gearbox shat itself

A friend of mine had a GTI a few years back (probably around 2016-18) and that thing flew, but he thought it was too slow so he got a Golf R - they really shift. Launch control in the middle of a quiet road and he just put his foot down and within 4/5 seconds we were up to 60 and it didn't stop! It was amazingly fast and made me quite jealous of my snails-paced pinto haha

The mid-range stuff I can see being boring and overpriced mind
