Taxing Online

Post by andyd »

Taxing car for June, do I have to apply on or after June 1st or can I apply on May 31st without incurring any charge for May?

No it must be done in June , if your on a SORN . As you will get charged for May as it’s a rolling 12 months so I taxed mine from Sorn the morning of the 1st March .

I have taxed and SORN online for last few years, and always tax 1st or 2nd of the month.

Got to be out early on Monday for a garage appointment, so taxing it Sunday evening would have been easier  Oh well!

I found out if you don't SORN online before 25th(iirc)of the month, the following month has already activated and you will have to wait about 2/3 weeks for the refund!!

That’s handy to know I always have a oil change and MOT and Sorn around the 15th of the month they get as much money as they can now a days .
Are you having anything nice done on Monday ?

And don't forget that if you pay monthly and later SORN the car, you need to cancel the Direct Debit with the bank, or the DVLA will continue to take your money.

I've taxed and SORNed online for the last 3 years and have not cancelled the DD, no money has been taken afterwards but I will bear it in mind.

Your car looks amazing, Andy. Even among such wonderful company!
I think that's the first time we've seen the pepperpots in all their glory. In all honesty, I prefer your car on them than on the 280 wheels.

Thanks Andrew, first proper drive today with the pepperpots :)

Been itching to get some up to date pics, most I have are with the 7 spokes which I like too, but happy with the originals! Would be nice if someone made them in 15 inch so there are more tyre choices.

That's the downside to pepperpots, but at least Dunlop make tyres in the correct size now.
