But if Peter kills him then the pheasant might become a "bird-on" his conscience.

I’m going to attempt to cook a pork leg joint in the garden waste incinerator tomorrow. I think I’ll wrap the whole thing in foil and just chuck it in, then add small amounts of fuel (i.e. pieces of pallet!) just to maintain the temperature. I’ll stick some herbs and a couple of cloves of garlic in with it, should be ok.

I’m looking forward to hanging a couple of steaks on hooks off the rail I’ve made for it, I reckon they’ll cook in no time as the thing gets stupidly hot. It’s not that dissimilar to how they cook meat in Argentina, only they don’t use a glorified metal bin!

Sounds very tasty. Ive just eaten a venison broth with mash. Perhaps there would be some way to cook these sorts of things at the meet.. anything is possible.. if you bring the pry bars.

Well the pork leg was a success! I wrapped it in three layers of foil and put it skin side down, really so that the skin would protect the meat but i timed it to perfection (by pure luck) and ended up with lovely crackling and tender meat. A good result really. It’s all trial and error as I’ve no idea how hot the thing gets and inevitably the temperature is very inconsistent. It definitely gets hot though, lumps of 4x2 are consumed at an alarming rate, they literally burst into flames as soon as you drop them in. I may try some marinaded chicken next, tikka should work well. Think of it as a council estate tandoor!

That marinated chicken sure does burn well on the bbq but I'd stick with the 4x2's :xd:
