I've just changed providers to BT and I can't fault them.
OK, they were 10 days later than planned installing the fibre. However, they did provide a modem for copper broadband for free while I was waiting for the engineer to attend. They even gave me £30 compensation without me even asking for any! I've now changed my mind about where I want the router located, so they are sending out an engineer to re-wire it into another room. Again, for free! All this and their 50MB/s fibre broadband is only £5 a month more than I was paying for 3.4 Mb/s copper broadband from Talktalk. Happy days!
Andrew.

Re: Finally!
Thanks Nick! It's not until I got fibre that I realised what I've been missing out on. The difference in speeds is night and day.
I think I might look into getting running water and electricity next.
