You can now buy (for $$$$$s) a virtual dress which only exists in your digital world, whatever that means?
1/2 the world doesn`t even have food yet these fuckwits can throw it away like water. Shameful.

A fool and their money....
This isn't new though, for years people have made an actual real world career selling virtual stuff on Second Life.
As you say, if people have the money spare to buy virtual items, they could have given that money to charity instead.

Crazy as I think that is I would defend people's rights to spend their own money on what they want, especially if it is legal.
Maybe some/many of the people that 'waste' their money in that way already give handsomely to charity, we don't know.

I suppose in my heart of hearts I believe there is something basically wrong with a world in which if you`re born in one region and happen to have a pretty face you will have unimaginable riches poured upon you for just basically existing. If you`re born on the other side of the world you will be very lucky to survive a diseased, starving childhood, and your life is considered worthless and expendable. It`s not about giving to charity or not, the `disconnect` should never be such a vast chasm in the 1st place. I totally admire the likes of Buffett and Gates, truly great men, great acts of philanthropy. I know there IS no real solution, it`s just my feeling that `God`s stopped keeping score` if you like, and sometimes I despair. That`s all.

Dammit you're right, Peter! Each to their own, and everybody should be free to live their life the way they feel is the best.
I dare say that on a Virtual Dress forum somewhere they are criticising somebody spending £700 on a Capri parcel shelf. But then we also criticised that, so I'm not sure what my point is.....

I couldnt agree more. We can only push for change and do our bit towards it
