New Capri Book

Post by Andrew 2.8i »

I see the Capri Club have a new Capri book in stock. It is a compilation of photos and a brief description of each Capri that attended the 50th anniversary at Warley. By the way the description reads, I do not believe that there is any other content, but the book will certainly be of interest to anybody who exhibited their car at the event.

That's exactly right mate, as everyone who attended the event entered the lawn, a photo was taken of each of the cars. All the proceeds went to charity so it was a win win. It was the biggest turn out of MK1's I can recall seeing.

Never to be repeated event as the Ford HQ is being knocked down for houses, with all the Ford folks moving to their Dunton facility not far away.

From memory Biscuit is on page 67 (or thereabouts) :D

I'll look out for if I buy the book. The book itself looks to be great value for money, but it's the CCI postage that is a killer as they send everything out by special delivery or by Parcelforce. Both of which are rather expensive but then I suppose they have to use those services to protect themselves.

I got mine direct from Darren at the Dunton event, didn't give the postage a thought. Originally it was going to be a ring bound jobbie but the Warley event & the cars that turned up were worth the extra efforts to make it a proper bound job. Bless him, he worked bloody hard to organise the Capri side of things at those events, bloody top chap too, hope he has recovered :D

I've just received my copy of Capri 50 @ Ford Warley and I've got to say that for £8 it's a bargain.
There's 120 pages of cars, which is more pages than I was expecting, and each car has it's own photo and brief description.
From what I've seen so far, this book looks to be a good read. :D

Sounds like a good event, I went to the Dunton one, didn’t realise there was this one as well.
I saw CCI email saying there was an additional book called Capri 50 but when I visited the site, I couldn’t buy it separately, you had to get the car you always promised yourself with it..
Cheers
