Fog lamp

Post by Jasonmarie »

So I thought I would park the Capri in the drive , pulled it out my lock up and took her around the block pulled in the drive and Marie goes , your light is broken ...... :kebab: where it’s the fog light has been hit . See picture . So large pants there’s always something you add to the list :banghead: .
Question is does that fail a MOT ?

My XR4 had similar damage and that passed, so sure it's not a fail.

Worse case take them off before MOT, and refit after

I believe that front fogs aren't a testable item for the MOT so you should be OK.
Those low-lying foglamps are particularly vulnerable to damage from stones. Perhaps buy a pair with covers to prevent it happening in the future?

Andrew.

I might use one of the mother in laws bras as they will cover the front of the car to stop the stones
