More Aircraft

Post by pbar »

Whilst at a rally/car show recently, this flew over so I took a quick pic. I believe it is a Beluga freight carrier. Not something you see a lot of, so was quite surprised. Nice to see an unusual aircraft flying over.

Yes Paul it is a Beluga, they use them to collect Airbus wings from the Broughton factory on Deeside, from where they're flown to Toulouse or Hamburg depending where the plane is being assembled.

Did anyone else watch Planespotting Live BBC4 at 8pm last night? It was mainly Long Haul aircraft.

It's on again tonight (Short Haul aircraft) and tomorrow (Military aircraft)

Hi Paul,
It was basically about Airliners which aren't my personal favorite, saying that I learnt a few things :)

Tomorrows episode will be better for me

On last nights Planespotting Live, someone sent in a pic of a Beluga taken a while ago. They are looking for a picture taken this month.
