Not a Capri but....

Post by Stish704 »

Just bought this for myself as well. Good friend of mines neighbor passed away and well, it was a bargain.
Might take it to a show or two.
I’ve given it a good clean, removed the roof rack and didn’t come up to bad. Bit of rust to take care of but nothing drastic.
Booked in for MOT Monday so fingers crossed!

Hi Steve,
Sorry to hear about the person that passed away. At least the car is now in the hands of an enthusiast who will look after it, it would be a shame if a dealer had bought it to make a profit out of the family's loss.
The car looks like a nice honest example, and the LX must be quite a rare model these days. A nice addition to your expanding Ford collection! :D

:goodluck: with the MOT.

Andrew.

Nice. Had a 1.8 LX for a good few years. Nice car, very comfy. Kind of sad to see it go but I then entered my Volvo years..

A nice car. Forgot how light and airy the Sierra cabin was. I can never understand why they replaced it with the fwd Mondeo really. Ford could have just kept evolving the Sierra and kept a serious foot in rwd territory.

It passed the MOT! Just a couple of little bits of welding need to be done but nothing drastic. Now, on with the renovation!
