Capri 50th Anniversary Book

So it took me 23 years to get around to doing another book on the Capri and here it is, another one! Yes, another book that I've been quietly working away on to celebrate the car's 50th anniversary.

Many of you have a copy of my book, "The Cars You Always Promised Yourself" and I'm really excited to announce my second, all-new book that celebrates the Capri's 50th is just months away. It's only available to existing readers who can register to reserve a copy here https://www.stevesaxty.com/capri50-register.

If you don't have a copy of "The Cars You Always Promised Yourself" then don't worry there are details in the link to get the publisher's May special price of ten pounds off. Grab it, his spring sale ends by summer (whenever that is).

Hi I’ve registered for your new book, especially as you’ve used a Paris Blue Special...just like mine!

Really looking forward to getting it.

Thanks for registering, it’s heading to sell-out after just a few days so I’m rather overwhelmed! Yes, the Paris Bkue Special is all drawn by the illustrator in Paris and looks great.

Here’s the roll-call of the heroes that will join us one last time in print:

* GBX in clay

* 1969 1600 GT XLR - Sunset Red

* 1971 RS2600 - Le Mans Green

* 1974 3.0 Ghia - Arizona Gold

* 1975 GTS (JPS) - Ebony Black

* 1976 RS2800 prototype - Ebony Black

* 1979 3.0S "Bodie" Strato Silver

* 1981 turbo - Strato Silver

* 1982 Tickford prototype - Diamond White

* 1985 Injection Special - Paris Blue

* 1986 "500 SVP" 280 prototype - Brooklands

* 2003 S272 prototype

It took a lot of discussion to get to that list, and no doubt there will be those that tell me I should have used XYZ Capri.

Hi Steve,
I'm interested in registering for your book, but the link provided doesn't appear to be working for me.

Sorry about that! I evidently seem incapable of the basics like pasting a link - try this one here, it should work OK... https://www.stevesaxty.com/capri50-register

Thanks Steve,
I've put my name down.
I couldn't for the life of me find what was wrong about the fist link but now I see it - there's a full stop at the end of it.
