The Ford Capri Laser Page

I'd like to give the car a once over, it's rather dusty as opposed to muddy. The sunroof, whilst now opening and closing OK, needs a new seal and a bit of adjustment, so I don't really want to throw water at it.

Does anyone use the waterless cleaners? Seem simple enough, spray on, wipe off?

Spray a panel at a time then buff with another cloth. Apart from the bodywork, it's good for glass, bumpers, plastic and wheels.
I recently bought 4 litres of it as it works out cheaper.....There are many other brands available.

Get decent microfibre cloths too, not the cheap ones

I just bought a couple Andy. Not tried this before. Does look good. Some i have used leave marks/streaks. This sounds better. Do you spray on then spread with one cloth and buff off with another ??

I`ve been using this for a couple of years, just to remove light dusty stuff, works well and paint seems unaffected by use, which was my main worry. As Nick says, spray on, wipe off with one cloth, then a second wipe with a clean cloth, then `polish` with 3rd. Microfibre recommended.

That's it Nick, I only put 4 or 5 squirts per panel and use 400gsm Microfibre they are really good, but use cheaper ones on the wheels

I don't polish very often now, as this protects the paint and adds a layer of wax eveytime you apply

Only problem the sheets keep sliding off if not careful as it's so smooth

Aldi sell it occasionally, very cheap too. Gets great reviews even on the detailing forums -

It's very popular now Paul and many options.
I hadn't really heard of it until I bought a bottle at a car show in 2013, now it's so much easier

Let me know what you think when you have tried it (And a pic)

I bought some of the Britemax on Andy's earlier recommendation. From my experience so far, it seems to leave no streaks after use, unlike some other products I've tried. As a bonus it smells very nice too...

It does smell nice

On a hot or warm bonnet it does dry quickly and is harder to remove, but that's the same for most products.

From this Thursday, Aldi have their waterless wash & wax back in stores. It gets good results on the detailing sites and at just £3 per spray it's a bargain. I bought one last time they had it in, will probably get another or two.

A few words before the pictures gents please note I feel I was awarded the best trophy of the year and let’s just say pictures can say many words ( yes I did almost cry ) after I received the biggest of trophy’s in the world .

Got 2 this morning, will try them on the Focus at some point.

Just gave the Focus a clean with this, and it's equally as good as the other 2 sprays I use. Smells nice too

I would happily use this on the Capri as and when I need to.

At this price it's worth buying a few eveytime they are in the shop

Cycled over to my local Aldi last night and they had it so grabbed a couple of bottles. No micro fibre clothes at home so that's next on the list
