When the wife is out....wash the sump !!

Post by Fordoholic Nick »

 I have had a refurbished sump on the garage shelf for ages but as I am finally getting it fitted by Tickover soon I thought I would get it out and give it a bit of a clean in prep for the fitting...

Its turned out really nice although it was only really surface dust as its been powder coated but still wanted to give it a bit of a clean :) I have a brand new gasket and set of bolts too so when the Pinto block has been painted up by Tickover it should look good.

I also have a powder coated front crossmember to be fitted too but reckon I am pushing my luck washing this on the kitchen sink

I guess you're confident that Mrs Nick never dips in to the forum or checks one Nick Bowler on You Tube. Could make pleading innocent a little more tricky if it was ever necessary :D :goodluck:

I always make sure I log out of this forum Peter and I have myself covered with You Tube too. I have my video settings set so the only way anyone can watch one is if I personally send the link like on this forum hence how vital it is I log out

I just hope she dont look into my wardrobe and finds the sump has now being relocated from the garage until Tickover Day

It might be more believable to plead insanity......

Nick, the sump looks amazing, it will almost be a shame to put it on the car!
Now, how will you clean the oil so it doesn't get the inside of the sump messy? :D

Andrew.

When SWMBO has been out, its not unknown for the dishwasher to have been used for the odd item to have found its way through a cycle :D

Nothing to see here, moving along ;)

If this kind of thing is the worse you get up to when your wife is out Nick, then I'm sure you will be ok in the long run :)
