4-Speed 2.8i for sale

Post by Fordoholic Nick »

Looks a very good buy at this price being an early 4-speed in what seems pretty nice condition and decent milage...is it too good to be true ??

Does look rather nice dont it Andy. Good mileage if genuine...but no pic of the engine bay ?? So many sellers take pointless 'trendy' pics from weird angles but not a simple few of the engine bay. Still deffo worth a look for anyone interested in an early 2.8i.

Looks really good in the photos. That's a superb colour combo too.

Nice, would look better with the original stripes, seats look great....but I saw one over the weekend in the same colour, for £7895!

I don’t know how to copy the post, but I put it in the cars for sale section on the 4th....and it went within 24 hours!
The low mileage 280 overshadowed it.

Another bargain was a mk2 3.0ghia manual in white for just under £6k; needed a bit of tlc but wasn’t too bad and was mot’d until July, unfortunately the owner had to sell due to ill health....and that Capri sold within a day too!

That is a good price if it had been the better Capri like a 2.0 or 1.6 it would be more money I guess :xd:

There is an engine pic at the bottom of the listing, along with a few other interior pics :)

This was the 2.8 I saw on eBay for £7895, that sold within a day

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1981-Two-Ton ... :rk:3:pf:0

Both great buys....maybe a few more might pop up this year!

I'd love to get that, just need to make space!

You can always find space for a car if you want it badly enough

It's now sold....If I hadn't bought mine last year, I would have been onto this one.

:agree: :headscratch:

Maybe he thinks having a 1.6 and 2.0 gives him 3.6

I wish it worked that way!!

I am trying to shift my old Fiat Panda and once that is gone I have the space for some capri shaped V6 power!
Also torn as to saving for a house or spending half of my house fund on another capri…. :headscratch:
