It's the Australian badge engineered 323 which they sold instead of the MK3 Escort. There was an older version of it that came in in 1980 when Ford stopped the MK2.
They also had the Ford Telstar which was a bastardised 626 which they brought in when Cortina production stopped.
GM were at it too selling badge engineered Daewoos as Holdens.
Funny that in the last 5-10 years theys seem to have gone away from this and are bringing in European Fords and Vauxhall/Opels branded as Holdens now.
Biggest shame is that there are now no fords or Holdens made in Australia - the Falcon and the Commodore (Vauxhall VXR8) are no more.
