Thing is Andrew you actually could wind the clocks back to say 000250 on your outstanding 2.8i no one would be a bit suspicious its so incredible . I have a thread on how to take the speedo apart and set the mileage without using a drill !!!

O M G this part is a nightmare so with old watches & clocks please never turn the hands back as it will cost a few bob to fix, new ones yes fine .

So my large clocks I will let them run down and stop then I can do a full adjustment. Carriage clocks yes I have done some today and I just go all the way around .
Now the Capri clock I will leave as the clocks go forward when she wakes up .
Wrist watches OMG yes do them in batches . My pocket watch collection is easy as I just clean and let run for 24hrs

The five clocks on test will stay at old time as it works out easier to get right .

But never turn a clock work clock backwards ........
