Andrew, I posted this great pic of yours up on Capri World last night and its really taken off mate !!! There is serious talk of a special organised Capri Day here next summer. How cool would this be. Would have to contact the owner to see if they would allow but as ond guy said all the business in the cafe would be too good to turn down ! Couple of guys know this Pinto Cafe well. They say its on the A48 just past Camarthan heading towards St Clears ?? If anything comes of this I will post up details here. Still deciding if non Pinto Capris will be allowed to attend    Watch this space :)

A guy on fb seems to know who owns Pinto Cafe. Sounds an interesting guy who would prob love to see a number of Capri's parked up outside his cafe ! This is what he said...

"The guy that owns the filling station services and café is Mike Manning...lifelong motorsport nut. He's raced at the highest level in Autograss, Rallycross, Hillclimb...and if memory serves he's a big mate of, and used to race with 4 times World F1 Powerboat Champion Jonathan Jones. Lovely guy...mad as a March hare. He's got a fb page...search Mike Manning Racing."

Mike Manning sounds like an interesting chap, I'll do some research.
Meanwhile, a visit to Enfield and deepest darkest Kent solved the mystery of the missing signs.....

Mind you that sign does look rather good on my garage wall don't it Andrew...and just as good on Jasons front wall too

Yep, if this chap on fb is correct and this guy Mike Manning does own the café and filling station then it is very interesting indeed. I bet he would be very happy to entertain a little Capri meet at his Café. I reckon he will give out a FREE breakfast to The Pinto Capri owners

As said its early days but there really does seem to be a decent interest in this both here and on fb. Could be looking at 10-15 Capri's which would be rather splendid. Thing with fb is it can just explode and when a lot see it actually happening 15 Capri's could easily turn into 20/25  Andrew you will know best what sort of numbers this Café can accommodate without causing mayhem !!!!

All the best mate and thanks again for making me laugh today...needed that :D

Nick

PS Jason....what are you doing at midnight tonight....fancy a drive over to Carmarthen fella...bring some tools ;) ;) ;)

PPS How great does Jason's Laser look in this pic. :D

I don't know about capacities, but it's on the site of a petrol station so that will be perfect for us V6 boys too (if invited...)!

If the meet does take off it might be like an Ace Capri day for the west!

I'll check whether you need a visitor's visa. :D
To be honest, the cafe thing is a great idea, but I can't see it happening as Carmarthen is just too far for most people to go. Even I'm going to have to think about it!

According to Google maps, its about 3.5 hours drive from London - not too bad, and doable in a day...

I normally visit the Bristol area at some point over the summer, so if this goes ahead I'd roll the two together.
