Quite windy here at times and some rain earlier, but better than yesterday.
Think I've fixed the leak in the corner of the garage roof, just need a replacement side door and window at some stage....

You are kidding, right? As you say, what a difference 200 miles makes.

If this carries on I'll have to take the kayak out the boot of the Capri and use it to get around! :D

Hi chaps,

Thanks for the concern Andrew. Yep all good here today. Just as Jason said its been a lovely day here albeit still a bit windy. I spent some time today cleaning off the now famous DD ( Dartford Dust ) from Tickover

I actually willingly threw that wet stuff all over B112 today...but then rubbed it dry asap !!!

Glad to hear you guys are all well as this wind has caused some serious danger to lives where it has hit hard.

Cheers guys,

Nick

The little stream by the picnic table was a pathway this morning....
The bigger stream is a trickle of water during the summer, probably about 2 inches deep. Today it is nearly 3 feet deep!
Still, the Capri is safely tucked away over the drawbridge!

Yes I could here the BSB at Brands this weekend as it’s just up the road from me and the wind is in the right direction. People who live about 2 miles from there get in free .

Saying that I would if Andy with the black spotless black 2.0s gets free tickets as he is a little closer , saying that we must meet up one day Andy .

I went there in 2014 with the XR Owners Club to watch BTCC. We had a stand of 10 cars there and a hospitality suite for the day with free food and drinks.
Great view looking down on the start/finish straight, and watching it live the cars are much faster than they appear on T/V.The bikes must really quick.
Maybe one day will get to see BSB somewhere....Probably Thruxton as that is our nearest track. Brands is an epic drive in one day :sleepy:

We pop over some times to watch the track days as that’s fun watching the old cars and new going around and sometimes can’t belive what people take round must say I don’t go as much as I did when I was young . I did do there there ford race cars for a time also the wife worked there and refused to bring a few nice motors home ( not going to mention the BMW she put in a field ) and a tractor had to rescue her .
