Cool Dash Mat fitted ! Review and Pictures !

Post by Fordoholic Nick »

Hi all,

Well finally got the chance to get the Capri out of the garage this evening so I could take some pictures of my Cool Dash Mat fitted :)

Well I have to say its absolutely stunning !!! It really is a perfect fit and sits really nicely on the dash top due to nature and quality of the material. Its very easy to roll it up to store it this way and just unrolls and drops superbly on the dash and covers every inch of it. I really am very impressed indeed with the design but no surprise as Colin from Cool Dash had done quite a few test fits on a Capri whilst designing this Capri version. Even the narrow strip running along the passenger side of dash fits spot on and no danger of slipping off at all. It has a subtle but deffo noticeable cushioned backing which gives it a reall feel of luxury as does the embroidery too which has been done to a very high standard and the logo sits just in the right position on the main part of the dash. Up to you but I will lightly roll my for storage then its ready for use without taking up space in the boot/glove compartment and due to the lovely soft material this is very easy to do.

So that's the review done and nothing but praise for Colin and his team for getting this so right :applaud:

So, now for some pictures :)

So there you have my review with pictures on the stunning Capri Cool Dash !! Mine is Black but the light makes it look like Grey but trust me it is a lovely shade of Black that really makes the logo " pop " ! :)

Anyone wanting to replace those beer towels ( sorry John  ) or watevr else you found to cover the dash these Cool Mats really are a brilliant product and as Christmas is coming deffo one for the stocking !!

All the best now

Hi Nick,
Thanks for posting the photos of your wonderful new dash mat fitted in your stunning Capri. It looks amazing!
The only downside is that it covers up the brilliant work you did refurbing your dash a while back! :)

Yes it’s spot on Nick as you say Colin has done a grand job . Yes funny in one picture it looks grey but blends in nice with your paint work and dash .

I will get down there and get a picture of mine and with luck Andrews will be with him this week .

Just a small note to every one but don’t drive with the dash mats and radio on as it gets very hot with the radio as thats why there are all them air holes . Just doing a health Safety warning there perhaps I might do a you tube one for xmas .

It's unfortunate that there's no holes cut for the vents so you can still use the window demisters. I feel like that's a bit of an oversight considering these are meant as a semi permanent thing.

Good point as I never thought of the air vents but I thinks it’s just to keep the dash from cracking more when parked up where in the USA they are more of a permanent fixture.

Hi All,
Just heard from Colin, apparently there is a delay with the embroidery on the covers which should be sorted by Friday. :D

Nice one Andrew. I was talking with Colin this evening and he has been so busy with loads of new orders recently. The Capri mats alone have really taken off now he offers the new 'S' range too. Orders coming in from facebook too ! He reckons this weekend the embroiderer wont see much daylight  but seriously they believe so much in the quality of their product they do not want to rush them and end up with sub quality so it will really be worth the wait fella. The embroidery is a stunning part of the design and really is very good quality indeed as you will see for yourself :)

Andrew its not like you to miss out a ' ] ' whilst quoting somebody so here you go...hope this helps ! You can buy me a breakfast at Brooklands next year  :)

Ps Those numbers are very interesting indeed. Almost the same number of taxed left on the road and only 365 difference on sorn. Both not many left. Makes keeping the ones we do have so important as we really are keeping the legend alive :D :D :D

Nice one Steve. We can all admire our Cool Dash Mats next time we meet. Something tells me that John will keep to his trusty beer towels :)
