All I have not had a email yet , I just said to Marie have you seen a email about the Capri book I have ordered she said No , Why , and I just said Andrew has one and thought you may have seen it . So my sweet blonde wife answers “That’s because he is a A and Iam a J “ but that’s our first name . What is she like ..........

Back to book yes I am looking forward to this as you say Andrew looks a good read and I bet things we or more myself have never heard of .

Did anybody else receive an e-mail from the Capri Club about winning a collector's edition of this book?
It will definitely be worth entering even if you've pre-ordered the book, because if you win you will have your previous book order refunded.
Nice!

Anyone else have their copy of Mr Saxty's book yet?

Mine was delivered Saturday, it is an absolutely excellent book, so much to read and take in - lots of insight, great illustrations.

Did you get the collector's edition?
Sadly mine hasn't arrived yet, but if your comment is anything to go by I can't wait to get it.

Mine came via DHL.

Its the standard edition, but even that is nicely hefty and coffee-table spec!

I'm glad to see they are arriving - Please do post comments and reviews on the publisher's site and my FaceBook page @carsyoualways as books live or die by what people say. Hopefully, those that have them like what they see - let us know! It's 22 years until the next one so it had better be good! Steve

Chaps have been keeping an eye on this myself. At first I was kinda like Paul thinking at £50 and £80 it was just a bit too much especially for me right now with all the projects I have been working on B112 recently. Its not been a cheap time for me with the 15"wheels, suspension work, and drive train !! So I did not pre-order a copy but now I seen the great video clip of the book and read more into Steves outstanding resesrch gone into the book I am now getting very very....VERY tempted to order a copy.

The Collectors Edition is still available but am 50:50 between this and the Standard Edition at £49

What to do...???? Oh What to do ???????

Thing with numbered editions is you might have your heart set on getting a specific number ie first 50 then if its 51 you might be a tad upset   I would love to get numbered 112....how cool would that be but not sure how many numbered editions have been printed.

Ah well I will have a good think on it as I have a special Capri related parcel to collect from Sainsburys click n collect today for my next little project........hence why I need to think on buying this book right at this time.......but I will...i know I will :)

Did I tell everyone on this forum its my birthday on Nov 30th...
