Hi Andy,

I think we all egree that the standard bodyshell shape looks much better than both the convertibles. I think that the Crayford Mk1 conversion is much more sympathetic to the original and retains most of the beautiful lines of the Capri. The Cameo conversion is an aberration.
To be honest though, that is common with a lot of cars that were never factory designed to be a convertible from the outset. Chopping off the roof completely ruins the design. In the Mk3 Capri's case, the designers have obviously gone for the wonky pram hood look.....

A bit more thought has gone into the design of this one:

Andrew.

Edit: I still much prefer the standard car.

I can honestly say there isn't a convertible car I like :?

Stag, TR6, Corvette C3, TVR Chimaera etc all look better with the roof in place imo....

Yes I am with andrew the Mk1 Capri looks fine but I wonder if that’s the boot was always there .

Must say I do have a soft spot for the TVR 350i I had the pleasure of looking after one and having the use of it in the 90s and it did shift but had so many problems I was glad it was not mine and working on it was like you was morried what you might break .

I would want it NOS and mint for £750.

A CCI Shelf would have to suffice :)
