Will drop kids of at school at 9am then M25 next M3 then might take the M27 or A303 it’s that Stonehenge bit I bet stuck on then drop down to bridport in Dorset pick up the A303 for Exter then might take the A30 to okhampton or Plymouth road for Redruth . And try and get there for 3pm .

I prefer the scone/skon/scown or whatever to have sultanas or raisins in them. Don't care which way the cream and jam goes on though because I usually end up spilling one or both down my shirt anyway!

All the big scone question now marie is Cornish and this questions comes up a lot . The drive down was really good but we stopped for what I thought was late lunch at a hotel on Dartmoor and we are staying here . It’s still hot down here . Must be a first as I have woken up 2am for a drink and now can’t sleep because it’s so hot .
Spent many happy days down here when I was a kid and when I had the first Capri .

I did a little wave as we got on the A38 andy . Spotted a very nice 1920s ish blue rolls Royce in blue . No capris .

Also thought I spotted the mother in law on the Moor but it was a big cow , easy done .

Back to scones , they do need currents in as well also they should be warmed . Thoughts gents

Not keen on jam or cream, but I prefer Scones with current/sultanas and butter. Might get some at Tesco today :headscratch: Warm though... :?: :? :

I find the supermarket ones a bit dry as if they are skimping on the butter in the mix. I swear some of them use a sweetener to cut down the amount of suger they have to own up to on the packaging too.

Sorry I am with Paul they are very dry at super markets , these they make fresh as the wife says they only take about 15 mins to bake ( Iam sure I have the time right but could be wrong ) went to Trego mills yesterday and got a tin of mercury grey paint for £3 just in case I need to spray a little bit somewhere .

Still warm

If I ate scones with cream and jam that is how I would have it, the Cornish way. No reason it just seems easier that way.....

Is that Mrs JM photo bombing the pic? Outrageous...... :)

Yes that’s the wife Andy who was laughing at me taking a picture for us Capri mad men , she could not work out what cream teas had to do with capris .
Andrew I am very lucky as the cream tea was for me as the wife is a vegan so she had her nuts & fruit .
That photo was in the Two Bridges Hotel I would love to bring the Capri down but it’s the lanes some are so small I would worry about marking the paint work .
But it’s Back home in the morning can’t wait to see the Capri sorry kids .

All Nick I phoned Home just a second ago and was told that there was men on the tv in shorts running around with a ball and could here my eldest and Dad shouting something like “ what a time to ring “ so spoke to my daughter who was in the kitchen watching two blokes in shorts hitting a ball over a net . Funny what your kids and parents get up to when your away .

Just one note the hotel we are staying at has 25 Rooms and I asked the manger that if I win the lotto can I bring 25 Capris here for a long week and take over the Hotel and he said Capris we would love to see 25 capris here .
So fingers crossed I hit the 6 numbers soon . ( still worried about the small lanes )
