Turbo Mike's previous Capri "Alfie"
Hi chaps,
Just seen this article in the recent Classic Ford Mag. The new owner of "Alfie" has posted in a letter re Turbo Mikes previous Capri. Sounds like he is enjoying every min of owning it so its deffo gone to a very good home. He says he has restored it back to original but still see the blue pinstripe is still there

Re: Turbo Mike's previous Capri "Alfie"
Hi Nick,
It does sound as if that chap is very much enjoying owning that rather splendid 2.8 Capri. Good on him!
However, if I've got this right, two (or possibly more, I don't know) Capris were used as Alfie Moon's car in EastEnders, and that is the "other" car.
This is turbo-mikes old car, as seen at Brooklands in 2014.

As it happens, the car in the article was at the Nationals last year.

I must admit that I didn't know of it's history at the time.
When I searched for "Alfie Moon Capri" on a well-known internet search engine, a photo of Shane Ritchie with a Capri with standard Injection stripes came up. Is that yet another Alfie?

Thanks for the correction mate...what am I like
Mate I did not pay attention to the number plate...and completely forgot Mike had that very special purple stripe done on 'Alfie' not blue !! . Well spotted old chap. I do now remember something about more than one Capri's being used. Still I have a soft spot for the 'real" Alfie which we seen at Brooklands. There is only one Alfie
What a great picture of Alfie mate. I can see two very nice Lacquer Red Capri's in the background too fella getting a bit of attention
All the best mate

Those two cars alone were worth the admission fee!Fordoholic Nick wrote: I can see two very nice Lacquer Red Capri's in the background too fella getting a bit of attention
The photo must have been taken early on in the day. I seem to remember you later turned your car around to better show off that super clean engine compartment.

What a spooky coincidence. We mention a car on this forum and there it is up for sale.
From what I remember it's a nice enough car.

Re: Turbo Mike's previous Capri "Alfie"
The description in the classified ad doesn't say a lot about the car, does it?
