Postimage problems
Some of the older photos posted using postimage have disappeared. The problem is that they seem to have changed from photoimage.org to photoimage.cc or something. I have the computer brains and ability of a halfwitted snail so I wondered if anyone can find a fix?

Re: Postimage problems
I can only assume they have had to move their server as part of changing the website domain name and therefore none of the pictures have been saved or transferred across? Bit of a stab in the dark but seems like a possibility...
Not sure if there really is a way around it if that is the case unless there is a way to contact postimage directly and asking?

On Capri power there is a comment about this and it says
right click then open in new tab
Overtype.org with .cc
Enter
Share - hotlinks for forums and replace URL code.
This means nothing to me but perhaps it might to one of you.

It's an age thing Paul, I'm better than I was but had to buy a new keyboard and mouse on more than one occasion through frustration due to my lack of computer knowledge
Good job the Mrs can get photos on the computer for me in the first place

Re: Postimage problems
I might have to ask the kids , is this the part in age when the kids tell me that I am old and they are up with Morden tech ?
I did laugh last year , when my daughter said Dad you have hit a stick and it’s broken the car . I thought all looks well so I pulled over to check and she said it’s there’s in the car , she was talking about the aerial .

Re: Postimage problems
It looks as though postimages.org is playing up again. Some of the recently posted images have disappeared from the forum (for example, the photos on Andy's "I'm back" thread.
When I try to upload a photo to postimages, it appears only as a blank screen...
That site seems to be too unreliable for my liking.
Andrew.

Re: Postimage problems
That's weird, but I'm thinking the problem might be at my end. My banner photo isn't displaying for me, can anybody else see it?andyd wrote:I can still see the pics I posted in that thread, and my dash mat pics in the other thread too
I'll try clearing the browser history to see if that helps.
Postimages still shows me ads about hairloss and ladies seeking "mature men" in my area!

How strange. I still can't see it or some of the photos that have been uploaded to postimages. I'll go to bed now and hope the internet fairies fix it by the morning.
