Its the new style "Sprays 2 Ways" aerosol head spray attachment...

With it this way you get a wide spray....

And with it locked up in this position you get the pinpoint accuracy spray...

I don't know about you guys but I think this is brilliant as I don't know how many of those red straws I lost that just pushed into the head. Now you just flick it up or lock it down....brilliant !!
I do love it when companies actually know the issues people have with their products and do something about it....even if it did take 20yrs
All the best chaps
Nick

They have been out for some time Nick, had those previously, very convenient aren't they. However, I get these now, they also spray and squirt! And far more economical -

Working at home I tend to use the 400ML large Trade Pack aerosols, but they still have the problem of the elastic band rotting through and the pipe being lost.
I used to use the 5 litre cans at work but I did find that the trigger bottles soon packed up or went wrong and you would squeeze the trigger just to get WD40 running down your hand and your overalls.

Hi Paul,
I must get out more mate. Think I last bought a can in 1987 !!
That one you use now does look much more modern and efficient than the "red push in straw" but as Paul G said those plastic triggers can go wrong too. I have had so many household cleaning products with this type of head unit that have either bleedin clogged up completely or dribble all over your hands. I still really like the original red straw as if you need to get it into a very small and precise place it really hits the spot head on !
Those big refill tubs though you mentioned are a great idea too and would last a very long time indeed. Thanks for the recommendation mate. I will see how I get on with this "new style" trigger for now
All the best
Nick

By the way, that WD40 with the built in straw is much more expensive than the regular stuff.
Andrew.

I disagree Andy. Look, see.....she has oil all over her leg and arm so she must have been working on the car just before this pic was taken....surely ??

If you e-mail them saying so they will send you more in the post. But you can just buy empty trigger bottles from the pound shop, etc. I have a few spares as I wash out all the household ones when they are used up, very handy to keep.
At Screwfix the 5L is £29.99 which works out at just £3 for 500ml.

Just bought a 600ml tin at B&Q for £6
Albeit the older version with the plastic straw taped to the tin.
Cheapest on Fleabite for that size is £6.59!
We don't use lots of it, so personally a good price for that size which will last a long time.

That’s funny as when the car played up the first thing we did was spray wd40 on the coil dizzy cap & leads I will find out soon if that sorts the problem ?
Good old wd40
But never spray wd40 at a clock & watch it’s like a kill switch , yes it may work for a little bit but every small piece of dust will make its way to the time piece .... just a little top tip ....

In case anybody didn't know, the new style combined cap/straw is removable from the aerosol. You only need to buy one, when it runs out you can transfer the cap to a new ,regular aerosol WD40. Although I went with Paul's excellent advice and got the 5L with spray bottle. That will be enough to last me a lifetime.....
Andrew.
