So. Have just watched and thought “ what are they doing “ yes that paint job they don’t even look at the car right . I know one thing I would never take them two to look at a car .
But yes it’s good fun to watch of what not to do

Hope it don't throw up too many issues for them. The carpet might need dying though

In a nice way of course

I love this show. They are both so down to earth and do things that I would do    so I can relate to them !! Its very hard to believe they actually make a living on the profits they make after all the overheads ! They keep boilig up that kettle every 5mins so the electricity bill on its on will eat into their profits

But as said I really like this show. Its very easy to watch and very enjoyable. A bit too much time is wasted on the buying imo but supoose this is all part of the charm of the show and the guys :)

They did a Volvo 480ES in last weeks episode, but curious as they didn't mention or put a new MOT on it I checked the reg number K160HAU, and there is no record of the car and not recorded with tax either!
All I can assume is it's had a plate change since :?

I have to admit that I've lost interest in all these car shows. They each seem to follow the same formula year in year out and most centre around some gobby egotistical presenter rather than the restoration work. I have no interest whatsoever in customised vehicles so that rules out many of the American shows for me and I'm just plain bored with the rest.

I admit that I haven't seen Flipping Bangers but I can guess what it's like as I used to "flip bangers" myself many many years ago; back in the days when a MK1 Escort with a year's MOT was worth £250 if you were lucky. I'm afraid that I find "The Bridge" that is on BBC2 at the same time far more entertaining these days.

Funny that, yes.
I too thought, are you not going to MOT it? When they took it for a blast after finishing it...... :headscratch:

Also hard to believe the guy they bought it from didn't know why it was a non runner as he deals in Volvos.....Easy enough fix :?

Good job it wasn't the cambelt as that wasn't mentioned at all, and did they really change the oil without replacing the filter :o

Nice blokes but for the sake of a bit more money do it right surely

Hi Andy,
Your right, there is no record of it on the DVLA website, however, on Cazana, it shows that it's been for an MOT and Tax somewhere between when it was listed for sale in September 2017 and the current date. I've noticed that Cazana is much slower to update than the government sites, so I would assume that the plate change is fairly recent and Cazana is slightly out of date.

Andrew.
