Also she had the bath removed and turned it in to a wet room and I told everybody she had it done as she was to big to get out the bath

Andrew.
Part 2 of this episode featuring the Cortina sale, this Friday at 9pm and repeated Saturday at 5 pm.
Apparently the Lotus Cortina with 18000 miles and original paintwork, sold for 65000 dollars (around £50500) in this 2013 episode....

I wonder what the Cortina would sell for now, assuming that it's in the same condition as in the show?
I didn't see this episode, but I did remember to watch the Wheeler Dealers one with the Alfa.Great episode, but they don't seem to be making much money in the UK so far this series.

I would think around 60k for the Cortina now.

Yes the Alfa episode was good, mainly down to Edds repairs as usual...Didn't make alot of money on it did they :headscratch:
You can see the tension starting to creep into the workshop when Brewer is there.

Nice find Andy!
Capri drivers eh?
It's great fun watching the bits of these old programmes that were filmed outside on real streets. Most of the cars in that clip are rarely seen nowadays.

Andrew.

The Reassembler Series 2 with James May starts on Quest December 4th.

1. Hornby Train Set. James reassembles the 138 parts of a 1972 Hornby Flying Scotsman (with realistic chuffing sounds)
2. Food Mixer. James reassembles the 135 parts of a 1960s Kenwood Chef a701a Food Mixer
3. Mini Motorcycle. James reassembles the 303 parts of a 1970s Honda Z50A Mini Trail Motorcycle
4. Portable Record Player. James reassembles the 195 parts of a 1963 Dansette Bermuda

I watched the first series, and only James can make it interesting

Thanks for the heads up, Andy.
I've only ever seen the telephone episode and quite enjoyed it.
When is he going to do a five speed type 9? That would be good! :)

Did anyone else watch WD RS 2000 rally car?

It had a pair of 3.0S Carla Fishnets which were taken out to fit rally spec seats....
Wonder what happened to them, along with the rest of the interior that was not required :headscratch:

Hi Andy,
Yes, I watched it this morning. I'm sure I've seen that episode before though. I get the feeling that the only reason they prepared the car for rallying was just so they could film the Edd vs Mike rally scenes and add a bit of drama for the programme. They definitely would have made more profit by keeping it standard, in my opinion.

Yes it was a nice car and imo they should have painted the engine bay and boot area the same as body colour. LHD will always be more awkward to sell, but I agree keeping it as a road car they would have spent less and probably made more than £600 profit.

What fishnets headrests

That's the end of this series, I didn't see the Hornby episode so I'll have to find that on YouTube. The other episodes have been good, very enjoyable. As you say, in theory it should be the most boring hour of television ever. However, in practice it makes great TV mainly because of James who, I think, suits the show perfectly.
Hopefully it will be back for another series.

Andrew.
