It’s probably already mentioned, but just seen a trailer for the modern v classics programme and there was a Paris blue laser in it!

I've just caught that brief glimpse of the Capri.

I have watched the first two, it's a bit 90's and a bit naff. I watch most car related programmes but cannot stand her she used to be on another show that was equally as naff.

Hi Mark,
I thought that both the presenters were reasonable, if a little bland. There wasn't anything about the girl that I thought would grate on anybody's nerves, but maybe personality-free presenters are going to turn off some viewers?

Andrew.

I don't know, although the series is planned to be 20 episodes in total, so it could be another 9 weeks away from being shown.

Hi Andrew,
If I missed it again I wouldn't be too bothered....Alot depends on the cars and if I like them.
The Mustang looked good but no real details on it unless I missed that bit :?
But I will hopefully watch the full episodes later then decide :D (Probably nothing else on at that time so worth watching anyway)

I agree with that. Sadly, the Dave website doesn't reveal which cars are going to be featured in each episode, which is a shame.
As you say, there's not much else on the other channels at that time.

Andrew.

The details of the second of tonight episodes is not right anyway....
These cars are all well and good on the private track they use, but in reality around London the first girl wanted the BMW for, I wonder how long she will keep it for with the insurance, running and servicing costs :spank:

I thought the same last week when the girl chose the Healey Sprite. Yes, it's probably a fun car to drive and she seemed to love the attention it got, but is she prepared for the reliability issues you can get with running an old car? The chap on the show never seems to mention that to the buyers........

Andrew.

He only gives the good news where as Rebecca does mention the downsides on his behalf :?
I don't think money is a concern to him, so probably just pays for repairs as and when they happen....

Thanks for the link, it's an interesting read as I'd never heard of the guy before. Although he must be very famous as he's only got the one name... :sarcasmalert:

Andy you beat me to sharing that link :) it annoys me when car tv presenters get the facts wrong when they should be in the know. 1028 280 body shells? Built from 1962-1986?

Hi Jason I'm a fan of his as well. Come across a video of his in my YouTube suggestions and give it a go. I instantly liked it I like his character and his car reviews. I've watched a few of his videos now and surprisingly enjoyed a review on a "K" reg poverty model mk1 mondeo.

I was wondering when someone was going to mention the new modern wheels classic steels program on Dave. I've watched parts of some of the episodes and get annoy with it where I'm shouting at the telly. I see most people on the show pick to see the modern car first and mostly pick the modern car as their choice at the end. It should just be called the modern wheels program because that's what most of the people are there for and have an interest in.

It annoys me how Rebecca finds flaws with all Elo's classic cars and obviously her modern choices are perfect in her mind. I've never heard of the presenters before but I think Elo's cool and chilled out and imaging Rebecca without clothes on is great when this program annoys me lol. I might go on this program and piss them off by telling Rebecca to leave the sheets on the modern cars because I'm there for the classics lol. But as what's been said tell the people who have picked the classics that they need constant maintenance, respect and classic car ownership isn't a walk in the park. Rant over! :)
