There’s another classic on next weeks second episode. Unusually there are 2 buyers & the smiles per mile are obvious. Elo is still full of but he found a stunning hot hatch. Worth a look for this car onlyandyd wrote:Caught the last 2 minutes of tonight first MWCS episode, and worked out straight away she would choose the BMW....Women of a certain age will always pick mod cons over a classic

You would have enjoyed Edd "fixing" the Panda's paintwork then.....andyd wrote:Panda Certainly not a fan, but I only watch it now to see Edds fixes

In that case I won't give the game away. I will say that it's one of those episodes where they seem to do a lot of unnecessary work that will limit the appeal of the car at resale time.andyd wrote:[I have it set for Saturday morning

Thanks for the heads up, Andy. I've never heard of this show, but I'll give it a pop to see if it's any good.andyd wrote:Fast N' Loud tonight at 9pm on Travel Channel, features a Lotus Cortina!!

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon
I stayed up to watch F&L. Unfortunately, the Lotus Cortina was barely mentioned in the show, however, the main focus was a Shelby Mustang, so it's not all bad!

Lotus Cortina in original condition with 18000 miles
It's on Travel Channel at 4pm most weekdays, they have some nice cars

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon
I was thinking the same. Then I thought, if it was a fake buyer from the production crew, would they have chosen somebody who looked more like a typical 4x4 off-roader buyer? Then I asked myself if it was a double bluff.....andyd wrote:No way was that a real buyer

For me a bad episode except for the Jubilee Clip and bush trickAndrew 2.8i wrote:I was thinking the same. So they made £700....But after MB went to Germany to get the tyres, the flight, rental car etc they would probably have lost money

That was a good little tip from Edd.andyd wrote: For me a bad episode except for the Jubilee Clip and bush trick
It was one of those episodes where they seem to go off on a tangent from the original brief of buy-restore-sell and spend money on needless modifications. Would the Panda really have appealed to the hardcore 4x4/ greenlaning crowd that tend to use traditional off-roaders? I don't know if it would. A bit of research on the internet reveals that there is quite a dedicated following for this car. Perhaps would have had a better chance of selling it (for real) if they'd restored it to standard.

Each to their own, but I just don't get off roading It would kill me to take a clean car through all that mud to then wash it only to find scratches and dents etcAndrew 2.8i wrote:That was a good little tip from Edd.andyd wrote: For me a bad episode except for the Jubilee Clip and bush trick
