So as I will be 50 next year I don’t look at cars the same as I did when I was young and I always saying to the kids that there is not one car I can see being a classic in 20 years time .
But wait I have found one .
The Ford Mustang Bullitt

Thoughts ladies and gents ?

It's all down to personal opinion, but I agree with you on that.
Andrew.

Lovely looking car.
What frightened me was that I looked at the prices of the rest of the Ford range - base Fiesta £13600 and base Focus £20,000. I know you would be able to get a good discount on that but it's still frightening to think that they are that much now. I remember back in 1987 I bought 5 new Escort 1.3 Popular Plus's for my then car hire fleet and they were £5000 each.
Seems like I'm loosing touch with reality!

Very nice
The standard Mk1 Focus RS maybe a future classic and possibly the Mk2.....If they aren't all modified or smashed up by boy racers.

It’s funny as i only can see the like of Ford Focus RS Or ST but I can not see anything else .
Also are the electric cars going to be even working ? Also all the plastic on cars will they still be anygood .
I read in classic car magazines about people trying to get plastic mouldings for under the car even the serria
I wonder what future classic there will be ?
I just rang ford to see how much the mustang bullit is , they don’t know but I can put down £1000 to put my name on a list .

Put down your deposit if you can afford it. You only live once & it will be an instant, not just a future classic.
Go on, you know you want to ..

I was thinking that if they only make 500 putting down for one at £1000 could be a good investment .
As I could sell my order to the highest bidder .
But I don’t think I have the ba11s to do it .
Also a £1000 pound I could get my Capri seats all nice for that or a good amp to go under the drivers seat .

I'm not sure about that. It's described as a special, not a limited, edition. I can't find any info about how many cars will be built, but I reckon it will be in the thousands. From what I understand, the US will get most of the cars and the overspill will make it to Europe.
Maybe it might make a good long term investment, but I honestly can't see it being in the position where you'll be able to sell a place on the order books for more than the list price.
Andrew.

And increasingly they're not making the money on the sale, but on the finance packages they flog with them.

Just watched a 2009 episode of Top Gear testing the then new Mk2 Focus RS starting price £25000.
Looking at 09 plate cars now (regardless of spec) with under 50k on the clock, still asking between £20000 and £25000
Possibly a good investment.....

Yep I can confirm this is a lovely car to drive. We use our Mustang Bullitt as our daily drive. Very practical for shopping trips. But I still keep the Capri in the garage. The Bullitt is parked kerbside

So had a quick look at same cars today as I want to swap in the bus as she’s 5 years old and my oldest son wanted to look at the ST Fiesta . So we both stated to look for what we wanted but ended playing with this
It looks nice but the seats are a bit hard and the handbrake is on the passengers right leg .
We had a drink and something to eat and told the wife the garage was shut . Opps always another day to look for cars

Love those Mustangs, what a beast and they sound great with the Roush exhaust
That blue looks great but with silver wheels for me
The green one
Capri looking good JM
As it's raining again, been looking around Ebay and found this local
