David Brimble's Capri being broken up for spares?????!!!

Just saw over at the Capri World Facebook group somebody is apparently breaking up the famous black 2.8i Turbo X-Pack that was owned by David Brimble?? Reg YRO800X
If it's true somebody is properly insane doing that, to one of the most famous cars in the Capri scene ever...
Anybody can confirm or deny it's true?

I have seen pictures of the car taken just 3-4 years ago and it was in good roadworthy condition.
