I've just read in the club magazine that CCI will be at the Brooklands bash, John Hill is aiming to complete the restoration of his 280 by then, and if so will be displaying that.
John also mentions that they will be doing commemorating the anniversary at the Natinals and at Mild to Wild.
Next year should be a corker, what a great time to be involved with the Capri community. :D

Luckily for us, you're more involved with this forum than a lot of Capri owners! :D
Plus the 50th celebrations will be worth attending for anyone interested in the cars.

Even if you don't have a Capri, next year is the year to join in the celebrations!. In fact, I had already viewed my & put a deposit down on my Capri & picked it up 1 week after the 40th anniversary. I went to the 40th & I had kept it secret from my mates, only to blab all once everyone was at Brooklands due to my excitement!

I will be coming to this mile stone event for my favourite fast Ford's 50th birthday. I sadly missed the 45th celebrations at brooklands but I did buy a great DVD put together by Chris and the Surrey capri club of the event so i didn't miss out entirely. Does anyone know the exact date for the 50th event as I would like to make a weekend of it if anyone knows any cheap B&B's or hotels in the area? Thanks :)

Yes Dan and peter is bringing the laser forum banner so we should have our own little space there . Staying somewhere I have not got a clue but there must be a travelodge or something near Brooklands perhaps Kris can help where to stay .

All the best Dan .

Update
I wonder if people will won’t to make a weekend of it and found this place it’s not cheap and I have emailed them about parking the cars up . But it’s a one off event and they have a race track out the back .
It’s just a mad thought and yes could work out at stupid money .

https://www.brooklandshotelsurrey.com/o ... e-package/

I might win the lotto so I can pay for everybody then . It always helps if we can dream . I would not race around the track but I know my dad would be up for it .

So back to Dan I did have a look .

It will be up and back in a day for me. The Mrs might come along too, but that's tbc nearer the time.

Still hope you do win the big one :D

I agree what is a shame as it’s just to much money when you look at it . But my lucky 6 numbers might come up , I have only got just under a year to have a big win

But truth is more chance of Jesus making a visit with the pope then me getting 6 numbers .

:lmao: hang on there’s only a knock at the door

Here's a list of slightly more affordable Hotels in the Brooklands/Weybridge area.

Unfortunately Brooklands is sited in one of the most expensive areas in the country and thank goodness they've preserved some of it and not sold it to developers to make squillions out of.
