Hi Andy,
Thanks for the heads up.
I've never heard of Paul Cowland, but Drew Pritchard strikes me as quite an arrogant chap.
Nevertheless, I might give the show a chance.

Andrew.

Paul was the dealer in Turbo Pickers, not overly keen on him from the programme......Typical salesman.
Drew I cant work out whether I like him or not :headscratch:

IMO Mike Brewer has got more irritating the last few years.... In person he might be fine.

I will be watching, there is another one to look out for on Quest called Goblin Garage, there is a MK2 Escort in the trailer. I'm the same with Drew and Paul, not sure if I like Drew but Paul seems the better of the two.

I will be watching Goblin Works this Thursday at 9pm on Quest, they also did a V8 Capri :)

I had the misfortune to catch the new Car SOS last night. If the rest of the series is as rubbish as this one was then I won't be bothering.
Hardly any coverage of any real work going into the car just more of Tim's pathetic carryings on .Total bullshit.

:agree: It was a pity because it looked such a pretty little car. Tim is a bit of a :wank: ,gets on my nerves too.

Well I held off on my comments, but it seems we felt the same.
Too much time on the old shell and pratting about in Italy, and as usual not enough on the rebuild

Fuzz does attempt to explain the work, but it's his 10% against the 90% other crap :?

Don’t know what to say really the respray on the lotus was far to cheap also I would have kept the seats in the GTI also the twin headlights . But I did pause on the cars and they still needed work the GTI had water inside because it was all steamed up the rear window did not work also the wiper looked stuck .
Don’t know will watch as it’s the cars I like .i did fill sorry for the other bloke as he seems to be doing the work and drew drop giving out the orders .

I enjoyed it something else to watch. I agree that Golf needed work and I'm sure the colour could have been brought back to those seats. I also would have kept the Grille. Those Campaign alloys are wrong for that year, they are '83 wheels and that spoiler needed to be gone, I saw rust on the back panel and it clearly had filler down one side as it had rippled. Thought the lotus looked nice and I like the way drew had the headlamp bezel repaired keeping the original. Overall good effort. I watch them all anyhow and ignore the BS

Me too. We'll probably not have to wait long for it to be repeated.

Andrew.

What they did to that Mk2 verges on disgraceful - bad enough that 'Mr Cool American' clambers atop the bonnet and scuttle to relieve himself all over it, but what followed that was mindless abuse in my humble opinion. I was literally shouting at the tv lol.

And then there was that paint job... Maybe, just maybe I could've understood it if it were a standard 1.1 shell or something that they'd rescued and we're trying to add value to, but this was what appeared to be a nice and genuine 1600 Sport (forsaking the engine of course!) and as such deserved far more respect to its provenance.

As for this Drew character in the other show, I agree with comments here that he tends to be a bit smarmy and control freak about everything, and to me he very much came across as the guy with the money who happens to like cars but doesn't really know much more than that. However I DO like the way he does his deals, no faffing or fencing, no "old aert yer 'and fella" just either pays the asking price or cuts to the chase either way.

Yep completely agree. Goblin works what utter sh*te, ruined that Escort and they all annoyed me.

I watched this again last night.
It's annoying they have a bike build in the episode too....Maybe they should have separate episodes so it can focus more on each build.
