Looks like everyone did very well.
I dropped lots of hints about tyres (even providing correct spec and a supplier) and ended up with 4!
My wife did a good job of co-ordinating that one!

Also got a nice wool mop for the polishing machine.

I got a bottle of Old Spice aftershave and a Thorntons chocolate. I don't like the chocolate so I've given it to my old mum and the Old Spice will come in useful as a toilet deodorant or something like that. Christmas - Bah Humbug!

Happy New year to everyone.

Great! I take it that you specified the Dunlop Sport Classics that you posted about a few months ago?

That reminds me......did anybody see that VI Poo advert that was shown before Christmas? The one where it was suggested that it was perfect for giving as a Christmas gift. Can't imagine the recipients would have been too pleased!

Re the tyres: Certainly did get the Dunlops. A nice tyre with a proper period tread pattern.
Nice that people clubbed together to get 'em and my wife co-ordinated it. Very lucky.

Anyone remember the Old Spice Capris from their campaign a few years ago?
I know the Mk1 one ended up with the MK1 Register, and was then sold. There was a Mk3 Old Spice car too, which someone tried to sell through this forum but never heard much more about it.

Didn’t get anything! Luckily, nothing really needed so not complaining.
I did get the old girl all detailed and shiny before Christmas so I suppose that was a present to myself? :woot:

My eldest bought me the DVD Corvette Summer, hadn't seen this since I was a kid & really wanted to watch it again. It's a proper car nuts film in all its cheesy '70s glory, loved it. Here's Mark Hamill chasing the bad guys in Las Vegas narrowly missing a nice mk2 which must have been quite new at the time.

The original 1974 Gone in 60 seconds is real 'cheesy' too, but a nice Mach 1 Mustang https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QK_Ct6zoeeQ

The chase is the best part :D

Apart from Minder, The Professionals and about a dozen War Films, Xmas T/V has been crap IMO.....

( viewtopic.php?f=10&t=51607&hilit=car+mats ) I always trust Paul whenever he gives us a heads up on products and these mats sounded really good. No pics had actually been posted but as Paul had seen samples at a show and commented on the very good quality of them and great value I decided these were the mats for me ! My parents said they would get them for me for Christmas :D

Chaps they really are superb mats just as Paul had said there were.
Cheers Nick, appreciate your kind words :)

Really pleased that you got the mats and are happy with them, excellent.
