Hi All

Apologies for joining the forum just to gain some information

Was cleaning out my dad's loft and found a car part for a capri.

Just wondering if anyone knows what the part is and if it has any value?

Thanks in advance

Pretty sure it's a rear infill panel, goes where the rear number plate usually is

In terms of value is worth what someone i willing to pay for it... it's a personal preference thing more than anything else.
I think that new ones are sold at around £50

Cheers
Danny

It's a rear infill panel that was an accessory that people used to fit between the rear lights to fill in where the number plate usually sits. It should have a mounting kit with it in the box but your first picture isn't very clear.

Most of these panels just said "Capri" on them but as yours is 2.8i injection specific it will limit it's market. It should have a bit of value; here's a Capri one on ebay

Truthfully I think it will not sell for that much. Ebay may be your best route for selling it unless someone on here wants it.

Tailblazer, very popular on Hatchbacks and Coupes in the 80's.

I'm sure there's a market for it, as some people are keen on period accessories.
As Paul says, I doubt anybody would pay what the one on Ebay is listed at, but I'd try it at a £20 start with no reserve.
