Changed the spark plugs and coolant yesterday, that was fun at times and some skinned hands etc
Thanks Andy!
That spark plug nearest the alternator is a great one for scraping knuckles......

Now, how has Poorboys worked on the front wheels?

Cleaning the wheels is as easy as that! :D

It's surprising how the camera picks up the sound, it was only playing in the background while I was working.
Great song!

Hi Andy,
What brand do you prefer?
I've always used Champion in mine and they're excellent. Although I've bought some Bosch ones for a change to see what they are like. Now I'm thinking "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and I should just buy a set of Champion plugs as well and use those instead.

I told my mate what I needed and he brought over NGK from his motor factors.
Turns out the old ones were NGK too :)

Hi Andrew - that Poorboys wax seems excellent! I need to find something that preserves the alloys on all of my cars as some get used more than others and it seems that after a while (even sometimes after refurb), they they descend into the usual "not best shape" condition, with hard to remove road grime. Does depend on the motor I am using, as some get used more than others. But it's difficult to keep alloys in good condition, in my experience, without the 3 yearly visit to the refurb shop (which is hardly an economical way to keep the alloys clean).

But you have posted up some great reviews there of something that actually works and not just words on the tin.

Thanks for that. I know now what's next on my list.

HI,
Thanks for your comment!
Before Poorboys, I'd never used a sealant or protective product on my wheels, in fact I didn't even know that such a thing even existed. At first I was a little dubious of the claims made by the manufacturer about he effectiveness of the product, but I think the results speak for themselves. As it doesn't have any cleaning properties it is best applied to new or newly refurbed wheels, and it seems to do an excellent job of protecting the wheels from the effects of brake dust. Obviously, I can only comment on my own experiences of Poorboys, but it definitely works for me.

Thanks for that additional guidance on the alloys it probably should be applied to.

Well, the Capri alloys are being refurbed next year. So this will be applied after that. My Mondeo alloys also are being refurbed. My Subaru alloys are only 500 miles into life, total. So I think I may have some usage.

Thanks for this - good write ups and footage.

Thanks!
It sounds as though your wheels would be in perfect condition for an application of Poorboys. Hopefully, you'll find the product lives up to my hype!

It's currently a little cheaper on carparts4less (who are Euro Car Parts)
