I did 3 coats on mine. 5 months later, water is still beading nicely on them.

Cheers for that Andrew and Andy , so you noticed the plates I just had a mad 5 mins mad moment I don’t think it’s ok to do but will keep my fingers crossed .
Yes I do like my mercury grey I was helped as it was overcast so putting the wax on the car was just right and I left it on for 30 mins before I polished off .
When we washed the car what was last done March 2017 the water just fell off so the wax is working from last year .

So I will reapply the poor boys wheel stuff again at the weekend . You don’t need much as we put to much on really with the first wheel . Also I used the autoglym tyre gel that looks good and that has lasted over the winter as well .

I just use autoglym detailing spray now for a quick wipe over .

Don’t know if it’s me but the car always drives better when washed . .

:agree: the number plates do suit the car I have some for my Capri but probably only use for the shows as if you get pulled over by the police it's a £1000 fine, but would the police know any different?

A good thing to do. Simply explain to the nice officer that you have only just put the black plates on. If you swap them over at the roadside, the Police are extremely unlikely to issue a ticket. I haven't looked into it, but the £1000 fine is likely to be the maximum and I doubt that anybody has ever been fined that much for the offence. Although the law is the law, so beware of that too.... :)
