It goes to show it's always worth shopping around, as why pay more for the same item :headscratch:

Unfortunately, the Dunlops are currently out of stock at the offer price of £127.50. When they are back in stock I suspect they will be at their regular price of £150 including VAT.

Andrew.
IMO the current Eagle NCT is far too old to trust any mileage, so I have bought an Ovation tyre for the spare wheel @ £34.99 inc delivery.
If I have a tyre issue, it's good enough to get me home or to a garage to repair or replace one of the 15" tyres, and then put it back in the boot.

If/when I decide to put the Pepperpots back on, I will see what's available at the time

If anyone wants this tyre once removed, you can have it free!! Available soon viewtopic.php?f=14&p=369582#p369582

That's a nice gesture, Andy. Somebody will definitely want that for concours events.

£35 for a tyre is terrific value and perfect for your needs. It doesn't make any sense at all to spend a lot of money on a tyre that is likely to never see the road.

 Whoops !!

I just bought five of the same when I got my 15" Wheels from jbw. Wanted them all to match :) They are all Yokohama. Just made sense at the time. Hope I wont ever need to use it as it looks very pretty in my restored boot

Tell you what though guys, having 15" wheels there is more choice of tyres than 13". Lots of budgets and lots of quality brands in 15. Finding 185x60x13 before I did not have the same choice as I do now with 195 50 15 or even 205 50 15

:agree: Nick
For the amount of use my car gets I go for around £50 per 15" tyre inc fitting, and always go by what's recommended by my fitter (He should know)
Each to their own with their money, but personally I can't get my head around £100 + for a 13" tyre....I paid that for my 18" on my Focus ST.

At least I have the Pepperpots for future use should I decide to

£150 a tyre is good when I had our s max with run flats it was £250 a tyre . I always go for a good make myself as it’s the only thing between the car and the road also I always change tyres when at 3m .
I might have a look at Dunlop when needed but with the 15” as young Nick says there a better choice .

Fair comment JM :)
A £300 tyre will still get a puncture if a nail or screw goes in it, and if it can't be repaired  But I would never run cheap and nasty tyres.

Unlike years ago when you had to buy Pirelli, Goodyear, Avon etc, now many lesser known tyres are still good quality and if they last 5 years ( or 5000 miles in my case  ) before I need to replace them, then happy days

When my 15's are past it I may consider putting the Peppers back on for a change....If the price is right :)

No your right if it’s a spare ,I still have the original tyre and wheel in the boot that’s never been used , would I trust it I don’t think so bit ok to get me home . But with the 13s there no choice really I do like the peppa pots but also love your Brooklands 15’ I did have a look at getting some as I think they really fill the arches .
But my wheels and ride in the Capri is so good I would worry changing that . Also no power steering I wonder how my back would cope ?

I just bought four 185/70 13's for my Laser - Landsail brand at £109 for the four delivered. Went down to my mate's garage and slipped him a tenner to use his machines and put them on myself.

A work pal had Landsail tyres on his car and they were ok, no problems and I'm not going to drive like a twat so will give them ago and report back later after the car has been on the road for a while.
