Good video Andy Makes you realise what character cars had back then when you see the shapes and sizes going by. Nice Avenger at 1.39, I have a soft spot for those.

Haha grockles. I swear only people from Devon and some parts of Cornwall use that word. My workplace is on the A39 (a main route to Cornwall) and we get any amount of 'grockles' coming in asking for directions to the campsite that they passed 2 minutes back down the road ha
I KNOW MY CAR IS OLDER THAN ME......WHATS YOUR POINT???

Great bit of film. Bet the drivers of those Mk1 Escorts had no idea that the daily they were driving would now be worth more than most of them paid for their houses

I was just talking to my 92 year old mum and she says her father, who was Buckinghamshire born and bred, also used to call ants emmets. Apparantly the term was widespread around here back in the pre second world war days.andyd wrote:That's correct You never hear ants called emmets nowadaysPaul G wrote:I think tourists are called emmets (ants) in Cornwall.rshyndy wrote:Haha grockles. So unplug the jukebox,
And do us all a favour,
That music's lost it's taste,
So try another flavour,
Emmet music....
Nah, hasn't got the same ring to it!
Andrew.
